		v Southport (h) 28th inst.
		Coggins, Williams, Cresswell, McClure, Gee, Thomson,
		Critchley, Dunn, Dean, Johnson & Stein. Res. Griffiths.

Booked Seats		In consequence of the enormous demand for
		tickets for the Southport Cup tie: the Directors had decided
		to book to goal D. D. & this action was confirmed.

Reports re Players	Mr. E. Green reported that he was not impressed
Oakes (Port Vale) with this player as a big priced one & he did not
		satisfy him on his display on Sat. last.

Davies (Bradford)	Mr. J. Sharp reported that on his display v
		Charlton Ath. this player was not class enough for us.

Helliwell (Stockport)	Mr. C. Hayes gave a poor report of this
		halfback.

Ness & Rae (Partick)	Messrs A. Coffey & Secy. reported that neither of
		these players were good enough for us.

Roughton (H'field)	Mr. J. Fare reported that this back was a
		good player, his kicking & tackling being good.

Richardson & Thompson	Mr. W. Laine gave a favorable report of these
(N'cle U)	two backs, but stated they had not been extended.

McNinch (Ballymena)	Secy. was instructed to ask the fee required
		for this player.

Aston Villa Res. v B'gham Res. Mr. L. Weller gave favorable reports of Booton
		(B'gham) & Bowen & Young (Villa) especially the latter.

T. Griffiths		An enquiry re this player from the Bolton
		Wanderers F. C. was not entertained.

F. A. Canadian Tour	The question of one of our players going on this
		Tour was left to the Chairman to discuss the
		matter with Sec. T. J. Wall.

F. A. Trial Match	Secy. reported that Dean & Johnson had been
		selected to play in this match at Highbury on
