Reports re Players Mr. J. Fare reported that whilst this player
Boardman (Stockport C.) was very good, he considered him rather too
small for us.
Talbot (Cannock) Mr. J. McGill gave a good report of this
full back.
Callan (Eden Colly) Mr. W. Laine gave a promising report of this
inside left.
Alderman (Derby C.) Mr. L. Weller gave a fairly good report
of this outside right.
F. A. Cup 5th Rd. Secy. reported we had been drawn against
Grimsby Town at home on 14th prox. It was
decided to reserve the following Seats. Shareholders
& Members Stands & Blocks D. E. & F. on Goodison Rd. Stand
at 5/- ea. & N. & S. ends of Bullens Rd. & Blocks
C. & G. on Goodison Rd. at 3/6 ea. Ordinary prices
to be charged for remainder of stands & ground.
It was decided to reserve 86 seats in Block
D for our players, Members of F. A. &c.
League Match Secy. reported that this match had been
v Barnsley postponed on account of above Cup tie & his action
in re-arranging same for Wed. 18th prox. providing
both teams finished their cup tie on 14th prox. was
confirmed.
Hart & Martin Secy. reported that the Blackpool F. C. had
enquired if we were prepared to part with these
two players. It was decided to reply in the
negative but to offer them Macpherson at a
fee of £3000.
