Ground The Chairman reported that he had been unable
to fix an appointment with Mr Godsef to inspect the ground
but he had asked the Secy. to write Messrs Kent & Brydon
re present state of same & point out it was imperative
they should come & have a look at it. It was
also agreed that the Secy. endeavour to bring forward
the last 2 Central League matches to enable the
renovation of the playing pitch to be proceeded
with at earliest possible moment.
Reports re Players Mr. J. Fare reported that he did not consider
Lackenby (Blyth) this player good enough for us.
Royle (Helsby) Mr. J. McGill gave a good report of this L. H. B.
Lumberg (Wolves) Mr. J. Elliot again reported that he could not
recommend this player.
Andrews (Durham City) Mr. Laine gave another good report of this C. H. B.
Boulton (Middleport) Mr. L. Weller gave a good report of this L. B.
Movietone Films An application from the Plymouth Argyle F.C.
for permission for a film of our Cup Tie to be taken
and same was agreed to provided we received
half the fee which the Club received.
Leave of Absence The following players were granted weekend
leave subject to Cup tie at Plymouth being completed
on Sat. Viz. Coggins & Towers.
A Team match v It was decided to postpone this match
L'pool A on the 24th inst. on account of the Kirkdale F.C.
having a Cup Tie on the ground on that date.
Cup Tie Replay In the event of a replay v Plymouth it
was decided to reserve the Shareholders & Members
Stand also Blocks D E & F at 5/- each and to
have the necessary tickets printed at once.
McCambridge Secy. reported that he had transferred this
player to Cardiff City on 1st inst. at a fee of £850
