Hough (N Brighton)	Mr J Fare reported that this youth had the
		makings of a good player but was not yet ready
		for us.

Woolaghan, Carruthers	Mr J Elliott gave a very good report of the
& Ridley (Workington) former but moderate ones of the two latter.

Lancashire v Cheshire	Mr. J. McGill reported favorably of Hammond
		(RH), Collins (CF) & Leyfield (OL) of Cheshire & Wilson
		(RB) & Rhodes (OL) of Lancashire.

Cooper (Halifax)	Secy. reported that he was not impressed
		with this players form v Mansfield Town.

Newcombe (Millwall)	Mr W Laine reported that this player was
		26 yrs of age.

Lackenby & Foster	Mr W Laine gave a good report of the former
(Blyth Spartans) & stated that the latter was not quite ready for us.

Douglas (Henley Town)	Mr J Holt gave a very good report of this
		player.

Meeting of League Clubs	Letter read from Huddersfield Town FC re meeting on
		the 12th inst in London. Decided to leave matter over
		until next meeting.

J. O'Donnell		Letter read from FA stating that this player
		had been cautioned by referee in match on 29th ult.

Damage to Spectacles	Claim received from Mr. J. Makin for repayment
		of cost of repairing spectacles damaged on Sat. last
		but it was agreed we could not accept liability.

Journeys to Bury)	Arrangements were made to travel to
& Burnley	) both these matches by train.

Xmas Boxes		Decided to give same as last year with
		50 Cigars to Directors.

Donations		Appeals for donations from the National
		Children’s Orphanage & N & W Lancs. Playing Fields
		Associations were not entertained.

Income Tax		Mr H Bowlers suggestion that we claim to
		pay no tax for 1930-1 was agreed to.
