makings of a good player but was not yet ready
for us.
Woolaghan, Carruthers Mr J Elliott gave a very good report of the
& Ridley (Workington) former but moderate ones of the two latter.
Lancashire v Cheshire Mr. J. McGill reported favorably of Hammond
(RH), Collins (CF) & Leyfield (OL) of Cheshire & Wilson
(RB) & Rhodes (OL) of Lancashire.
Cooper (Halifax) Secy. reported that he was not impressed
with this players form v Mansfield Town.
Newcombe (Millwall) Mr W Laine reported that this player was
26 yrs of age.
Lackenby & Foster Mr W Laine gave a good report of the former
(Blyth Spartans) & stated that the latter was not quite ready for us.
Douglas (Henley Town) Mr J Holt gave a very good report of this
player.
Meeting of League Clubs Letter read from Huddersfield Town FC re meeting on
the 12th inst in London. Decided to leave matter over
until next meeting.
J. O'Donnell Letter read from FA stating that this player
had been cautioned by referee in match on 29th ult.
