Reports re Players Mr. E. Green reported that this back was erratic
Taylor (Dundee U) & he could not recommend him. He spoke favorably
of McKay (O.L) & suggested he be followed up.
Smailes (H'field) Mr. J. Fare gave a very good report of this player.
Cooper & Hopkins Mr. J. Elliott gave excellent reports of these
(Halifax Town) two Wingmen & recommended they be followed up.
Randall (Derby C) Mr. T. Fleetwood reported that this was a very
fair player.
Schofield (Bacup) Mr. J. McGill gave a good report of this inside
right.
Snaith & Clipson Secy. stated that these were two very promising
(Bury) players.
Skelmersdale v Chorley He also stated that none of these players
were of standard required by us.
Doney (Chilton Collg) Mr. W. Laine again reported favorably on this OR
but thought he was too light for league football.
8 Goodison Ave. The tenant Mr. J. J. Croll was given permission
to have electric light installed in this house.
Robson & McClure Mr. R. Brown of Sheffield Wed. F.C. attended
the meeting & after discussion agreed to give £3000
for the former provided he could approach him with
regard to playing L Half. With regard to the latter
he suggested a fee of £500 or £1000 but the Board
decided not to let him go at anything less than
£3000.
Mr W J Sawyer Letter read from this ex Director thanking
the Board for their kind expressions.
Hull City FC This club were given extension of one month
to pay balance of £250 owing re Weldon.
J. S. Maconnachie Letter read from this ex-player for financial
assistance. Decided unable to grant same.
Lancs F.A. Council Secy. reported re what steps he had taken
re Mr. E Green's nomination.
