Reports re Players Mr. E. Green reported favorably of Fulton
Belfast Celtic v Ards (LB) Of Belfast Celtic.
England v Ireland Mr. J. Sharp gave a report of this match at
Sheffield & also reported favorably of Fulton.
Glover (Grimsby) Secy. reported that he could not recommend
this CF on his display v Notts. C. Res. on Sat. last,
but that Yates (LH) of Notts. was very promising.
Lincoln Players Messrs A. Coffey & J. Sharp reported that Lax
(OL) was promising, but that Maidment (IR) was
poor. They also gave a good report of Kitching (IL)
Celtic Res. v Beith Mr. E. Green reported that he did not consider
any of these players good enough for us.
Mr. J. Fare also reported that Mr. W. Maley had
informed him that none of the players they had on
transfer were good enough for us.
Sheppard (B.S.A.) Mr. J. Fare reported that this player was not
good enough.
Lamb (Warehousing FC) Mr. T. Fleetwood gave a similar report of this
player.
Thomas (Huyton Recs.) Mr. J. McGill reported that this player was only
16 yrs. old but was very promising. He had
been signed on Combination & CL forms.
Chilton Colliery FC Mr. W. Laine reported that the outside right of
this team was also very promising.
Mr. W. J. Sawyer A further letter was read from this Director
stating that he could not alter his decision.
It was therefore decided to accept some with regret
and to place on record the Boards recognition of
his valuable work whilst with the Club. It was
also agreed that he be allowed the use of 6 tickets
for the Directors Box at home matches during this Season.
L'pool Senior Cup It was agreed to play our preliminary
round v L'pool at Anfield on Wed. 29th inst.
