Minutes of Meeting of
The Football League Clubs
First & Second Division
held at
Connaught Rooms, Great Queen Street, London, on Friday, the
4th April, 1930, at 3.p.m.
Present:
A. B. HIRST, (Huddersfield Town), in the Chair,
supported by
SIR SAMUEL HILL-WOOD, (Arsenal), and representatives
from every Club other than Middlesbrough and Sheffield
Wednesday (First Division), and Barnsley, Millwall,
Stoke City and Wolverhampton Wanderers (Second Division).
The following Resolutions were passed:
(1) THAT notice be given for the alteration of Rule 27 of the League
Rules by the addition of the following words, making the Rule
commence as follows:-
"A club shall not release any player for International games
on a day on which they have a League Fixture, except at the
call of National Association of which the Club is a member."
Three Clubs voted against the above Resolution.
(2) THAT notice be given for the alteration of Rule 41 of The Football
Association by the addition of the words "on any day other than a
Saturday or Public Holiday", after the word "Association" On the
2nd and 3rd lines of the Rule.
One Club voted against the above Resolution.
