Reports re Players Secy. reported his conversation with the M/c
Johnson (M/c City) City Directors re this player. Telephonic communication
was established between the two clubs and it
was eventually decided that they would transfer
the player to us for £6250 and this we agreed
to. The M/c City officials to bring player to our
ground tomorrow.
McCambridge Messrs E. Green & A. Coffey reported fairly favorably
(Ballymena) of this player. Telephonic communication was
also established in this Case. It was eventually
agreed that we offer £1750 and a match at
Ballymena free of cost to that club for the
players transfer, and if no word was received
from them before 6 pm. tomorrow, the Secy.
proceed to Ireland to secure his transfer,
the player to receive £10 Bonus, £7 per week during
this Season & next & £6 per week in Summer
& to pay his furniture removal.
Holliday (Cockfield) Mr. W. Laine gave another good report
of this player and it was agreed that Mr.
Fare proceed to Cockfield to secure the
player at best possible terms.
Thomson & Robertson Secy. gave a fairly good report of the former
(Dundee) player, whom however, he considered short of
powers of recovery, but reported that the latter
was not up to standard required.
Gamble (Brentford) Mr. H. Ford gave a fair report of this
C.F.
Chelsea Players The Chairman reported that Biswell did not
play, but gave a good report of Johnson (L.B.)
