Ferguson & Macpherson Mr. J. Fare again gave good reports of these
(Sawnsea) players and Secretary was given powers to secure
the latters transfer up to a fee likely to be £5000.
Love & Hill Mr. J. Weir gave good reports of these players
(Aberdeen) but Mr. J. Bell reported the former good, but hardly
thought the latter was big enough for English football.
Kilgour (Forfar) Mr. J. Weir gave a very favorable report of
this C. F.
Routledge (Bangor C.) Mr. J. E. Elliott gave another good report of
this player.
Binns (Halifax) Mr. T. Fleetwood gave a good report of this
goalkeeper but did not consider he was any
better than our own.
Williams (Brighton) Secy. reported he had ascertained that
this player was 24 years of age.
Bullock (Chesterfield) Mr. W. Laine gave a fair report of this player,
but good reports of Turnbull (F. B.) Kennedy (I. L.)
& Taylor (O. L.) of S. Shields.
Arrangements v The team to travel direct from Blackpool
Carlisle on day of match & have lunch on Train. Tea
