Report re Players Messrs E. Green & J. Sharp reported that this
Watson (Oldham A.) player did not play on Sat., but that his
substitute Trotter had played very well.
Pegg (Lincoln) Messrs W. J. Sawyer & W. C. Gibbins reported very
favorably of this player.
Jacokson (Grimsby) Mr. J. Fare reported unfavorably of the
Walsh (Bristol C.) former, but very well of the latter.
Yates (Horwich) Mr. J. Elliott gave a very good report
of this player.
McGuire & Blair Mr. J. Weir again reported very well
(Clyde) of these backs. Letter read also from Mr. W. Maley
re Blair.
Black (Hearts) Letters read from J. Weir & D. Gordon
re this player but as we could not see him
play, it was decided to take no further action.
Holywell Cottage) Letter read from Mr. H. T. Roberts asking if
Hospital )we would play a match on 28th inst. for benefit
of this Institution's funds. Agreed to do so and
the following team was selected.
