other players.
Ayr v Airdrie Messrs A. Coffey, A. K. Wade & Secy. reported very
well of Weldon & that McPhail had been injured.
They also spoke favorably of Kelly (R.H.) &
Brae & Massie (IFs) of Ayr United.
It was decided that Secy. proceed to
Airdrie to try & obtain the transfer of Weldon
at once & also that we endeavour to secure
the services of that player & McPhail &
unlimited powers as to transfer fees were granted.
Chorley v Rossendale Mr. W. Green reported very favorably of
Haworth (OR) of Rossendale.
Rae (Leith Ath.) Mr. J. Weir gave a fair report
of this player.
Paterson (Camelon) It was decided to endeavour to
secure this player at a fee up to £150.
Bradshaw (Bury) Secy. reported that he had spoken
to a Director & the Secy. of Bury F.C. but they
were not prepared to part with this player
at present, but should they do so, they would
let us know.
Gibson (Hamilton) Secy. reported that he had heard
good accounts of this player, but the club
were not prepared to part at present.
White (Hearts) Secy. reported that this player was
likely to be transferred & fee required was
£6000. Decided not to entertain same.
Cresswell & Kelly Letters read from S'land F.C. offering
(S'land) these players at £5000 each. Decided not to
entertain the latter but it was agreed that
Mr A. Coffey & Secy. proceed to S'land to obtain
Cresswell's transfer at a fee up to £5000 if
he was not more than 28 yrs. of age.
