League Match Secy. reported that owing to Arsenal
Arsenal being engaged in F.A. Cup our match on the
16th inst. had been postponed. They had written
offering to play on Apl. 22nd but this was
considered too late. It was agreed to ask
Cardiff City if they would play us on 16th inst.
& that if they agreed we could offer to
play our match v Arsenal on Mar. 25th.
Reports re Players Mr. E. Green gave a fairly good report
Gibbon (Merthyr) of this player & suggested he be seen
again.
Andrews (Notts C.) Mr. J. Sharp reported that he was
not impressed with this player.
Eden (D'ton) Mr. A. Coffey reported that this was
a very promising player & should be seen again.
Trotman (Rochdale) Mr. W. C. Gibbins gave a similar report
of this forward.
Barnett (Watford) Mr. J. Fare gave a good report of this
inside right.
Greenway & Woodbine Mr. J. McGill reported that he did not
(Redditch) consider these players good enough for
us.
O'Brien (Prescot) Messrs J. Elliott & Secy. respectively
O'Grady (Nantwich) gave poor reports of these two players.
Fairhurst (Walsall) Mr. W. J. Wallace gave good reports
Hill & Clitheroe (Torquay) of these 3 players.
Lyme (Dunfermline) Mr. J. Weir again reported favourably
of this player.
Davison (Washington) Mr. W. Laine gave a favorable report
of this inside forward.
McAllister (Newmilns) Letter read from this player's father
giving us first option when intermediate breach
was healed. Secy. instructed to thank him for
same.
