Match v M/c United Secy. reported that this match fixed
for 18th inst. had been postponed owing to
M/c United being engaged in F.A. Cup.
Decided to offer them Mar. 21st.
C. L. Match v The Secy.'s action in re-arranging this
Oldham Athletic match for 21st inst. was confirmed.
Report re Players Mr. E. Green gave a good report re
Dunn (Hibernians) this player & also reported very favorably
of Ritchie of same club. Decided they be
seen again on 18th inst.
Carroll (Newry) Mr. J. Fare reported that the former
Fulton (Larne) was of no use to us but gave another
good report of the latter.
Oxberry (S. Shields) Mr. J. Fare also gave a good report
of this player.
Pollard (Exeter City) Secy. reported that whilst this player
was good, he was on the small side.
Hutchinson (Falkirk) Mr. J. Weir gave a further good report
of this player.
Irish F.A. Letter read asking if we would
release Irvine for match v Scotland on
25th inst. Decided to do so providing Forshaw
was fit.
Preston North End A deputation from this Club attended
F.C. with regard to amount owing for J. Kerr's
transfer. It was decided to accept £775
at once & balance to be paid by 25th Septr.
and any transfer fees they secured for
transfer of any players in the meantime to be paid to us.
Lancashire Leagues Mr. W. J. Sawyer was appointed to attend
a meeting of this proposed new League, but
not to state that there was a possibility
of our joining same.
