Steel & Nicholson Messrs J. Fare & J. Weir gave excellent (St. Johnstone) reports of these players and it was decided that the Chairman, Vice Chairman, & Secy. watch them play next Sat. with powers to sign them on if satisfied. Haworth (Bolton) Secy. reported that Bolton Wdrs. were not prepared to transfer this back. Oakley (S'land) Secy. gave a very good report of this back, but the Board considered the fee asked of £4000 was prohibitive. Waring (Tranmere) Mr. J.
