Murray (Cowdenbeath) Secy. reported that he was not too
impressed with this player, but spoke very
well of Wright (I.R.).
Oakes (Port Vale) Messrs W. C. Gibbins & J. Elliott gave very
good reports of this player. Decided that
J. Fare watch him again in replay at
W.C.C. Highbury & if satisfied get into touch with
the Port Vale F.C & our Chairman.
Falkirk Players Mr. J. Fare reported that he was not too
impressed with Hunter, Paterson or Thomson.
Gleen (Bristol City) It was stated that the Club were prepare
to part with this player & letter was read
from Mr. W. J. Wallace respecting him.
Paterson (Camelon) The action of Mr. D. Kirkwood in signing
This player on at £5 per week with £10 signing
fee & transfer fee of £160 was confirmed.
Scottish Players Mr. J. Weir's report on Scottish players
was read.
White (S'port) Mr. A. R. Wade reported favorably of this
player & it was decided he be seen again. He
also reported favorably of Halsall (GK) & Newnes (CH)
McBain Letter read from this ex player. It
was decided not to entertain his suggestion.
S. M. Beswick Letter read from Tranmere Rovers F.C.
granting permission for us to play this
player in C. L. matches.
Wrexham F.C. An application from this club to play
benefit match on March was allowed to stand
over at present.
F.A. Trial Match Secy. reported that W Dean had been
selected to play in match England v Rest at
Bolton on 7th inst. Decided to grant necessary
permission and also that Messrs A. R. Wade &
J. Sharp represent the club at the match.
