Report re Players The Chairman & Mr. A. R. Wade reported Stockport Players very favorably of Williams (L. B.) Critchley (O. R.) Johnson (I. L.) & Burgess (C. F.) & stated they had asked what transfer fees would be required for each of them. Hampson (Nelson) Mr. A. Coffey gave a good report of this player, also White O. L. of Southport. Shaw & Watts Mr. J. Fare reported that he did not (Gainsboro.) consider these players up to our standard. Morris & Fletcher Mr. D. Kirkwood reported favorably of the (Prescot) former but stated that the latter was too light. Kendrick & Daly Mr. J. Elliott again reported very favorably (Shelbourne) of the former. Secy. stated that the Shelbourne Club were asking a fee of £1000 for his transfer but they were prepared to allow the latter to come for a months trial. Morgan (Armadale) Mr. J. Weir gave a good report of this player. Stoke City v Rhyl Mr. A. Coffey & Secy. reported that both teams had only showed moderate form. New Brighton v Mr. A. R. Wade & Secy. both gave an Wrexham excellent report of Griffiths (C. H.) of Wrexham, the former arguing that steps be taken to secure his services. Hunter (Horden) Mr. W. Laine gave a favorable report of this player. Morris (Swindon) Mr. G. Hoare gave a very good report of this player, also that he had heard that Hannah (Norwich City) was a very good back & that Lewis (C. F.) of Swansea was also good.
