Reports re Players Secy. reported that Mr Coffey and he did not consider
Davies L. (Cardiff) this player good enough as inside right.
He also stated that he had asked the
Huddersfield club if they were prepared to part
with Brown, Cook, Barkass or Dent.
Gore (Barrow) Mr. J. Fare reported that this player was
very promising.
Earle (Nelson) Mr. J. Elliott again gave an excellent
report of this player. Decided to ask the club
if they were prepared to part & fee required &
the matter was left in hands of Chairman to
deal with.
Mackay (G. Stirling) Messrs D. Kirkwood & J. Weir reported that
they did not consider this player good enough
for us.
Ward (Barry) Mr. W. J. Wallace again gave a good report
of this player.
Batten & Murray Letters read enquiring re these players.
Decided the following fees be fixed. Batten
£550, Murray £100 plus his accrued share
of benefit.
Hooper (D'ton) Letter read asking £2000 for this player
