Chorley v Morecambe Mr. E. Green reported that he did not consider
Harrison (C. H. Chorley) good enough for us but Mr.
A. R. Wade reported him fair & recommended he
be seen again.
Luton v Aberdare The Chairman reported favorably of
the right wing of Luton Moffat & Thomson.
Foy (Radcliffe) Mr. J. Fare reported that this player was
good but too light.
Wrexham v Flint Mr. D. Kirkwood reported favorably on
the play of Rogers (IR Flint)
Newport v Northampton Secy. reported very favorably on
Maidment (GK) Smith (LB) Forward (OR) Drinnan
(IL) & Cook (OL) of Newport County especially
Forward. He stated that none of the Northampton
players had impressed him.
Cheshire County League} Mr. W. C. Gibbins reported favorably of
N. Wales League } Parker (OR) Griffiths (CH) & Jackson (CH).
Wynne (Oldham) Mr. D. Kirkwood reported that he considered
this player too erratic. Secy. stated he was
on offer but no action was taken.
Williams, Cook Letter read asking for offers for these
& Wilson (Huddersfield) players & secy. stated that the price required
was between £2500 & £3000 each. Our offer of
£1500 for Williams could not be accepted.
Decided to let this offer stand & to offer
£1500 for Cook.
