character & capable of explanation as to form no criterion of the players ability, the Plymouth club be requested to give Livingstone a more extended trial (say for a month) before coming to a final decision as to his abilities & that should Livingstone at the expiration of that period fail to materially improve upon his display of Saturday last, this club would then favorably consider the proposal to review the terms of the transfer & that the Plymouth club be accordingly written to.
