Iron Staircase Mr H Banks reported that we had received
an offer from Messrs Brough of £5 for staircase in
counting house. Decided to ask £7.10.0 but Secy
to take as much over £5 as he could get.
New Stand Letters were read from Mr Leitch & the
question discussed. Decided to defer decision
until after receipt of tenders.
Medal Competition Secy reported that the Lpool County FA
had suggested 1st Rd being played on grounds
of clubs first drawn. This was agreed to.
Lpool Senior Cup The Secy's action in arranging this 1st Rd
tie v Lpool being played on our ground on
Monday 23rd April was confirmed.
Reports re Players H Makepeace reported on his visit to match
Darlington Players Durham City v D'ton but owing to one of the
D'ton players being injured he could hardly give
an accurate report, but Butler was promising
& Burridge & Dickson useful.
Wigan v Hpools U J Fare reported that none of the players
in match were good enough for us.
Gibson (Kilmarnock) Secy reported that in his opinion this
player was not of required standard.
Chorley v New Brighton Mr A Wade reported that in his opinion
the following players showed promising form
viz Kelly, Fishwick, Rushton & Heyes of Chorley.
Tranmere v Wrexham Mr W J Sawyer reported that the only players
to show decent form were Godding (Wrexham) and
Campbell (Tranmere).
Purdy (Coundon) Secy reported that he was trying to
get this Goalkeeper to play trial for us.
