[Special Meeting of Directors held at Bradford Hotel, L'pool on Monday 22nd Jany 1923] Present Messrs E Green (Chair), H Banks, A Coffey, A R Wade, W. C. Gibbins, W J Sawyer & J Sharp. McBain Secy reported that the Club might be prepared to consider an offer of £4000 for this player & after a prolonged discussion it was decided that Messrs A R Wade, J Sharp & Secy proceed to M/c today with powers to sign this player on up to a fee of £4000.
