		himself & Secy to Stockport & stated that the fee
		asked was £4000 & the Secy stated he had since
		been in touch with the Club & that the amount
		required was £3000 clear. It was decided
		to offer in writing of £2500.

Best (Coventry City)	Secy reported that these goalkeepers
McAlpine (Hibs)	were also on offer but no action was taken.

Reports re Players	Mr D Kirkwood reported that he was not
Page (Northampton) too impressed with this players display v
		Bristol City. He however stated that Walsh (CF)
		of Bristol had played very well.

Parker & Rawlings	Mr J Fare reported that he did not
(Southampton)	consider these players good enough for us, but
		stated that Wynn (OL) of Bradford City had
		shown good form.

Turnball & McCluggage	Secy reported that these two players
(Bradford)	had played very well against Lincoln City
		but he had since heard that the Directors
		of the Bradford Club were not prepared to
		transfer them.

Dean (Tranmere)		Mr E Green gave a favorable report on
		this player and it was decided to keep him
		under further observation.

J R Smith (Bolton)	Letters read from respective Clubs that
McDonald (N'cle U) they were not prepared to part with these
		players.

Players on Transfer	Gill (Cardiff City) & Stevenson & Hampish
		(Bury). Secy instructed to enquire fee required
		for Stevenson.

Lancs Cup		Secy reported that should we beat
		Blackburn Rovers we were drawn to play Bolton
