Reports re Players Messrs A. R. Wade & Secy. reported favorably on
New Brighton v Tranmere Glover (N. B.) & Dean (Tranmere) & suggested that the
latter should be kept in view.
Kerr & Anderson Messrs E. Green & Secy. reported that they were not
(Luton) too impressed with the former & that the latter was
good, but they had interviewed the Club who were
not prepared to part with either at present.
Crown & Weaver Messrs A. R. Wade & W. J. Sawyer reported favorably
(S. Shield) (Burnley) on these two players & stated there was a possibility of
the clubs parting with them in the near future.
Cousins (Southport) D. Kirkwood reported that he was not too
impressed with this player, but spoke well of
Shaw, Cowan & Lowson of Doncaster.
Williams (Wrexham) H. Makepeace stated that this player was
promising & should be seen again.
F.A. Cup 2nd Rd. Secy. Reported we had been drawn against
Barnsley or Brighton & Hove away.
League match v Preston Secy. reported that this match would
Feby. 2nd have to be postponed on a/c of F.A. Cup Tie. It
was decided to offer Feb. 6th as alternative date
provided our Cup tie came to a definite conclusion
on 2nd.
C. L. do v Burnley He also reported that this match would
have to be postponed. It was decided to
try to re arrange for replay of L'pool Cup v
