Wigan Boro F. C. Secy. Reported that this club had not paid
the instalment of Jones' transfer fee which was
due on the 30th ult. and it was decided to inform
them that if the amount was not paid by our
next meeting the matter would be reported to
the League.
Reports re Players J. Fare reported that on his display v
Hooper (Southampton) Folkestone, this player was not of the standard
required by us.
Bradford City Res. H. Makepeace reported that Winn (OL) did
v
Sheffield U. Res. not play in this match but that the Chairman
stated they would not take less than £2000 for him.
Cookson (Ormskirk) H. Cooke reported that this player was
not good enough for us.
Preston N. E. D. Kirkwood that none of the Scottish
v
Scottish Juniors players in this match were of the required
standard.
J. Carr (M'bro) Secy. reported he had heard this player
was likely to move & had made enquiries as to
fee required.
Bullock (Bury) Secy. made telephone enquiry as to whether
club were now prepared to re-consider fee asked.
Reply received that they did not intend to
part with player at present.
Birks (Port Vale) Letter read from Mr. W. J. Heath that club would
be prepared to part with this player for £2500.
Decided to have him watched again.
Journey to Middlesbro It was decided to stay overnight on
the Friday 25th inst. at Harrogate & Secy. to make
necessary arrangements.
Complimentary It was agreed to grant a Compy. Season
Ticket ticket to the Manager Victory Picture House.
Cup Tie Tickets It was agreed to allow each player 1
ticket for cup tie v Preston.
