Reports re Players Messrs W. C. Cuff & H. Banks gave a good report re
Varco (Torquay United) this player and recommended he be signed on.
The Club had promised to let us know fee required
& it was decided that on receipt of this, the question
of sending to carry out negotiations be left in hands
of Chairman & Secy.
Curran (Glenavon) Messrs A. Coffey & Secy. reported that they did
not consider this player of standard required by us.
Silcock (M/c United) Messrs E. Green & J. Sharp reported that they did
not consider this player was quite sound but suggested
he be seen again.
Allen (Glentoran) Messrs Coffey & Secy. reported that they had
interviewed one of the Directors of this club re getting
this player on a month's trial. Telegram read from
club that they could not agree to this but were
prepared to transfer him to us for £750. Decided
to take no action at present.
Cawthorne (H'field) H. Makepeace reported that there was a
possibility of club parting with this player. Secy. was
instructed to make enquiries.
Parry & Swindells Secy. reported that these two players were
not prepared to accept £1 per week. Decided to offer
WCC the latter £10 signing on Bonus & £1 per week. The
WCC former preferred to remain as an amateur at present.
Harrison The action of Mr. A. Coffey & Secy. in transferring
this player to Preston N. E. at a fee of £2000
payable half on 31st Decr. inst. & balance on or
