Glover (N. Brighton) Messrs A. R. Wade, H. Makepeace & Secy. reported favorably
Tootle (Southport) on these players. It was decided to ask the former
club if they were prepared to part with Glover.
Curran (Glenavon) J. Fare gave a favorable report on this player
& it was agreed that Messrs A. Coffey & Secy. proceed to
Belfast on Sat. next to watch him play & if satisfied
to sign him on. The price was stated to be approximately
£750.
Spencer & Taylor Secy. reported that he did not consider
(Bp. Auckland) either of these backs of the standard required by us.
Varco (Torquay United) A very favorable report having been received
from Mr. Frank Bradshaw of this player, it was decided
that the Chairman & Mr. H. Banks watch him play on
Sat. next with full powers to sign him on if satisfied.
Knight & Long H. Makepeace reported that he did not consider the
(Bolwell Mission) former good enough for us & the latter whilst very
good was too small & aged about 27.
Sherwood (Fleetwood) Mr. W. Green gave a favorable report on this
player & considered he was worth further watching.
Wall A. Chairman reported that as the Stoke F. C.
had asked re this player it had been decided
to play him last Sat. v Rovers Res. and he had
asked the Stoke Club for a transfer fee of £1000.

Virr Secy. reported that this player had been
cautioned v Aughton Wdrs. on 17th inst.
Xmas Boxes It was decided to again give the whole
of the professional players & Directors a turkey each
& the Staff 1 weeks wages as Xmas boxes.
Oldham Athletic F. C. It was agreed to grant this club a
further extension until Decr. 31st to pay balance
of Fleetwood's transfer fee viz. £375.
