Clayton as Chairman was accepted.

Gardner (Ashington) J Fare reported that on his display v
Accrington this player was not good enough for
us & Secy also stated that the club were asking
a fee of £2500 for him.
Roberts (Rhyl) H Makepeace gave a fair report re
this player & suggested he be seen again.
Middlesbro Players Secy reported on his visit to M'bro &
stated that he had interviewed the Directors
re a proposed exchange with Raitt for Freeman
or Maitland. The club were not prepared
to part with Birrell. There was however a
probability that they would part with Wilson
(CF) but their Board would discuss the matter
& let us know. Providing they were prepared
to part with Wilson a sub committee consisting
of the Chairman, Mr A Coffey & Secy were appointed
to deal with the matter.
Crown (S Shields) Secy reported that he had interviewed
the Chairman re this player. They would bring
the matter before their Board & let us know
their decision this week.
