Dr Martlew Secy reported that this gentleman
had denied making the statements referred
to at last meeting but as Mr W J Sawyer still
re-iterated what he paid. Secy was instructed
to ask for a denial in writing.
Freeman (Oldham) Secy reported that the Club had
informed him they were prepared to part with
this player & the transfer fee asked was £4000.
It was decided that the Secy proceed to
Oldham with powers to sign him on up
to a fee of £4000.
Schools Shield A deputation from the Lpool Association
Presentation of Schoolmasters attended & in a few well
chosen remarks the Chairman handed over
the Shield. Mr L Stringer accepted same on
their behalf & thanked the Directors for their
kindness.
Players to watch Secy was instructed to arrange to have
the following players watched viz
Rigg (Nelson) Fishwick (Chorley) Kennedy (Rossendale)
Hammond (Bristol Rovers) & Left Half of Darwen.
