Mr. J. Craig reported favorably on
Lindsay (Back) of Ashfield & several other
Scottish players.
Mr. J. Fare reported that in his
opinion the Huyton Quarry backs Stott &
Fish were hardly up to requirements.
The Secy. reported favorably on
Morgan (C. H.) of Cliftonville & stated that
he had asked the club if they would
allow him to play a trial for us before end
of season.
D. Livingstone The Secy. reported that with the
consent of the Chairman he had
agreed to pay £2600 for the transfer of
this player. Action confirmed.
Central League The Secy. reported that the following
clubs had been elected to this League at the
special meeting in Manchester on 18th inst. viz.
Birmingham, Sheffield U., W. Bromwich Albion,
Stoke, Derby County & Wolverhampton Wdrs.
Linfield F.C. It was agreed to ask this Club
what guarantee they were prepared to offer
us for match in Belfast on 7th May.
Players Union R. Downs was granted permission
Benefit Match to play in this match at South Shields
on the 4th May.
Lancashire F.A. It was agreed to nominate Mr. W. J.
Sawyer for the Council of this Association
& also to enter for Lancashire Cup for
Season 1921-2.
Sale of Fruit An application from Miss Schofield
to be allowed to sell fruit on the ground
was declined.
