[Meeting of Directors held at
Goodison Park, Liverpool on
Wednesday 17th May 1922]
Present Mr. A. Coffey (Chair), E. Green, W. J. Sawyer,
H. Banks, A. R. Wade & W. C. Gibbins.
Minutes The Minutes of Directors & Finance Committee
Meetings held on the 9th inst. were read &
confirmed.
Copenhagen Tour The Chairman reported that the result
of the first match was Everton 5 Copenhagen 2.
2nd match Draw no goals each & that the
conduct of the players during the tour had
been good & that we had been well received.
Williams (Darwen) Mr. E. Green reported that he & Mr. Fare
were well pleased with this players display
& had signed him on at £5 per week with a
transfer fee of £450 to the Darwen Club
& a match at Darwen. Action confirmed.
Scottish Players Mr. D. Kirkwood reported that he had
interviewed the clubs concerned re the
following players Henderson (Rangers),
Hunter (Falkirk), Ferguson (Motherwell) & Whyte
(Hearts), but that they were not prepared
to part with Hunter or Whyte. Secy. reported
that the prices required for the other two
were Ferguson £4000 & Henderson £3500.
Decided to take no further action. It
was also decided to take no action with
regard to J. White (Albion Rovers owing to the club
requiring us to make a higher offer than £3500.
Raitt & Troup Mr. E. Green gave his report on interview
with the Dundee Club re these players. It
