Mort (Rochdale) Mr. J. McGill reported very favourably
Miller & Munday (Leyland) on these players.
Davies (Chorley)
Hart (Airdrieonians) Mr. E. Green reported that he had offered
the Club £3000 which apparently was not
enough. Decided to make as additional offer.
Walker (St. Mirren) Mr. E. Green reported that the former had
Jennings (Raith R.) shown fairly decent form but that the latter
did not play. He however stated there was
no likelihood of the clubs parting with them
at present.
Pyke (N'cle U.) Messrs E. Green & J. Fare reported very favorably
re this player who however was not likely
to leave the Newcastle district.
Smith } Shildon Mr J. Fare reported unfavourably on these
Ashurst } players & Secy. Stated he had offered the former
£5 per week with £10 Bonus and to be given
definite reply by Monday. This not being
forthcoming it was decided to cancel the offer.
Thoms. (H'pools U.) The Chairman Messrs Gibbins, Green & Secy. reported
rather favorably on this player & it was decided
he be seen again.
Williamson (Broxburn) Mr. D. Kirkwood reported that this
player was not of the required standard for us.
Irwine (2nd R. W. F.) He also reported that owing to the
poverty of the opposition he could not offer any
definite opinion on this player.
Longford} Merthyr Messrs Fare & Secy. reported that these players
Crowe } were not good enough for us, but reported very
Dickson (D'ton) favorably on this player (Dickson).
