63 [At a Meeting of the Directors held at Goodison Park, Walton Liverpool on the 15th July 1919.] Present:- W. R. Clayton Esq. (in the Chair) H. Banks Esq. J. G. Davies Esq. A. Coffey Esq. R. T. Francis Esq. John Davies Esq. H. Halsall Esq. The Directors prior to the meeting made an inspection of the Stands & Buildings with a view to deciding on various alterations & improvements. The minutes of the proceedings at a Meeting held on the 1st instant were read & confirmed. Conference with The Chairman reported the result of the conference L'pool F.C. with Messrs Williams & Martindale of the Liverpool F.C. re the matters affecting both that Club & Everton F.C. as to remuneration of Gatemen, Prices of Admission to matches, Season tickets, Taxation of Payments to League under the Charity Scheme, proposed deputation to Head Constable regarding Police Services, practice matches & terms of official programme. Resolved that in addition to the agreed note for admission, we charge 2/6, including tax, for the Stand Known as the "Members Stand", the pre war price having been 2/0. Press comments Referring to the Press comments regarding a fine of £20 for paying expenses to players on the 26th Dec. last, the Chairman reported his action in instructing Mr. O. W. Owen to communicate with the Local Paper & that he had consequently obtained an apology from the proprietor, which would be printed by him.
