It was reported that T. Mayson of Grimsby Town
had been signed since last meeting at £7.3.6 per
week for 39 weeks, & £10 Bonus, & also W. B. Evans
at £3 per week & £5 Bonus, & the same was approved
& the amounts paid confirmed.
It was also stated that the total wages
bill for 1919-1920 to which the Club are committed
now amounted to £6347.5.0 in the aggregate.
Resolved that under the circumstances related
by S. Pearson, he being given a free transfer.
D. Allen & Son An interview with Mr. W. Crompton, Managing
Director of D. Allens Billposting Co. Ltd., having taken
place with the Secretary re the outstanding rent of the
Billposting Station, it was agreed to accept
£60 in full settlement, the pre-war rental to
come immediately into operation.
Press Reports Mr. T. Charnley's reply to our communication
regarding the findings of the Commission re matters
affecting this Club appearing in the Press in
advance of official intelligence, was read, in which
he repudiated having furnished any information.
Programme The Secretary reported that he had co-jointly
a/c with Mr. G. Patterson of Liverpool F.C., audited the
accounts at the Programme Syndicate for the past
Season, the proportions due to each of the three parties being
£45.4.11 cheque for this Club's share being produced.
