offered this player & on enquiry the fee was
stated to be £2500. He was instructed to
ask the Sunderland Club if they were
prepared to accept any less & if so, it was
decided that Messrs Coffey & Green watch
the player at M'bro. next Saturday and
endeavour to come to terms, if his play
was satisfactory up to £2000 for transfer.
