The Minutes of the proceedings of the meetings on
the 13th & 14th inst. were read & confirmed, also
the minutes of the Finance Committee at a meeting held on the 16th Decr.
Finance It was reported that the gross gate
receipts v Bury Res. on 17th inst. were £60.4.4
Entertainments Tax £15.0.1
Also that the gross gate in F.A. Cup
Tie at Birmingham on 10th Jany. were £2.197.5.0
Expenses (including tax & % to F.A. £634.8.0
& that our share was £787.8.6 which had
been received.
The Bank Balance was reported to be
£1.294 16.7. Dr.
Reports Reports of matches v Sheffield Wed 0-1 &
Bury Res. 6-0 were received.
Elvey & Mr. Coffey & the Secy. reported on these
Chaplin two backs & it was decided that Messrs Coffey,
Green & Halsall proceed to Coventry next
Saturday to watch the latter again & also
Maitland of S. Shields.
J. Jefferis The Secy. reported that this player
had been transferred to Preston N.E. & that
the player had interviewed the League Management
Committee with regard to a percentage of the
fee.
A Grenyer It was reported that by permission
of the Chairman, the Middlesbro Club had
