Secretaryship Resolved that W. J. Sawyer be appointed
to the Secretaryship of the Company at a Salary
of £400 per annum, the appointment to commence
from the 1st November next.
Next Meeting The Next Meeting of the Board to take
place at the Bradford Hotel on Tuesday, 7th
October at 6:30 p.m.
Plumbing Mr. H. Banks reported that he had
accepted the tender of Messrs Tippin Bros. for the
Plumbing in the Billiard Room the price being £5.15.0.
L'pool & A Letter was read from the Football Asson.
Everton expressing the opinion that the payment of 18
players in the Match with Liverpool was excessive.
It was decided to write a letter dissenting from this opinion. W.R.C.
Players Letters were also read from Sheffield
Wednesday & Middlesbrough Football Clubs
intimating that at present it was not their
intention to transfer their respective players, Blair
& A. Wilson.
Robt. Parker Correspondence from Robt. Parker was
submitted from which it approved that he is now
demobilised & at present at his home in Glasgow.
Ordered that he be kept in touch & send
reports of his condition from time to time.
J. S. Maconnachie Resolved that J. S. Maconnachie see Dr.
Baxter respecting his knee, & the Doctor decide
his fitness or otherwise.
Police The Secretary reported his interview
with Superintendent Tomlinson in regard to the
complaint of P.C.'s being badly treated, & the
question of an insufficient number of Constables
being ordered. He would have a further interview
as to the police suggestions after they had decided
what they wished the Club to do.
