Kelly Minutes The Minutes of the last Meeting were read and confirmed. The Secretary reported that Thompson accepted the position of Captain. Collections The Secretary reported his interview with the Lord Mayor on ground hereon and read the Lord Mayor's letter embodying conditions upon which he would, on behalf of the Town Hall War Charities Depot, take in hand the collection of monies for Footballs etc. for the Troops. The Secretary's suggestion that the Club make an application for registration under the War Charities Act was approved and it was resolved that the scheme be registered under the name of "The Everton F.C. Army and Navy Footballs and Football Outfits Fund" and the particulars to be furnished on such application be as are contained in the draft application attached hereto. The Secretary was instructed to pay the application fee of 5/- when making the application.
