294 [At a Meeting of Directors held at the Bradford Hotel, Liverpool on the 14th January 1919] Present:- W. R. Clayton Esq. (in the Chair) H. Banks Esq. J. G. Davies Esq. A. Coffey Esq. R. J. Francis Esq. John Davies Esq. H. Halsall Esq. The Minutes of the proceedings at a Meeting held on the 7th January 1919 were read & confirmed. Reports Mr. Banks reported re the match at Oldham (3-0) & the injury to Miller, also his interview with the Oldham Directors re Donnachie. - Mr. J. G. Davies reported re the Home match (3-2) & player Cotter. Resolved that the Secretary interview Cotter & report to next meeting.- The Chairman reported that he & the Secretary attended the League meeting, that the proportion payable by this Club to the pool for the payment of players was £286, that the Players taking part in matches from the 1st Feby. next would receive £2 each per week & reserves £1 as at present, & that the extension of the Season proposition was defeated. He also intimated that he had given permission for the final of the Lancashire F.A. Junior Cup to be played at Anfield on Saturday next. Joe Smith He further stated that he had interviewed the West Bromwich Albion officials who had definitely decided under no circumstances to consider any offer for Joseph Smith, full back.
