Resolved that the Rochdale Club be written
to expressing the Board's sympathy with the object
of the Match but regretting that owing to the
shortage of Players consequent upon the Christmas
Holidays, they cannot consent to Fleetwood leaving
Liverpool that day.
Monks Hall F.C. The Monks Hall F.C. (Lancashire Combination)
gave Notice that in consequence of their inclusion in the
new Manchester section of the Combination, they had
to cancel the auxiliary fixtures made with this Club.
Player R. Bond Resolved that Mr. J. Westwell of Radcliffe
be requested to arrange for his nominee. Player
R. Bond to attend at Goodison Park on Saturday
& report to Mr. J. G. Davies.
Player Carlisle Resolved that R. W. Carlisle late of
South Liverpool & Blackpool, be invited to sign
for this Club.
Blackpool a/c Mr. W. C. Cuff reported that after correspond
-ence with Mr. A. Crewe of Blackpool, he had obtained
a reduction of £3.3.0 from the Hotel a/c, Cheque
for which amount he handed over.
Next Meeting The question of Holiday matches having
been considered.
Ordered that a Meeting of the Board be held
on Monday next at the Bradford Hotel at 3.30 pm. in
order that the teams may be selected for these matches.
The Chairman commented on the retirement of
Mr. W. C. Cuff, the Secretary of the Club, & expressed the regret
of the Board at the same time, wishing him every success
in his new sphere of labour. Mr. Cuff suitably responded.
Mr. W. J. Sawyer tendered his thanks to the Directors
for honoring him with the appointment of Hon. Secretary.
