277 [At a meeting of Directors held at the Offices of the Company, Goodison Road, Liverpool, on the 10th day of December 1918] Present:- W. R. Clayton Esq. J. Davies Esq. H. Banks Esq. J. G. Davies Esq. A. Coffey Esq. H. Halsall Esq. W. R. Clayton Esq. in the Chair. The Minutes of Meeting held on the 3rd instant were read & confirmed. The Minutes of the Finance Committee at a Meeting held on the 3rd instant were read & confirmed. Reports Messrs A. Coffey & H. Banks reported on the Match at Blackpool, the result being 3-1 for this Club. Mr. J. G. Davies reported re the Home fixture Reserves v South Liverpool. Result a loss 1-2. A. Grenyer It was reported that Player, Allan Grenyer, had intimated his intention of leaving Liverpool, & proceeding North. At a subsequent interview with this player, nothing satisfactory resulted, he giving notice that he would assist the Club up to the 21st instant. Jos. Clennel Player J. Clennel had drawn attention to his Agreement with the Club wherein he was guaranteed a benefit. The Minute of the Directors regarding the engagement of this Player was read, & it appeared that his benefit should fall due in January next. The Secretary submitted a list of professional players & the dates of their engagement, from which it was ascertained the benefits due & prospective. Ordered that Player Clennel must take his turn with the other Players in the matter of benefits.
