The Secretary reported receipt of cheque for £20 from
Mr. E. Ramsbottom.
The Chairman explained that Mr. Ramsbottom had
ascertained that owing to the present prices of Challenge
Cups he could not supply a suitable cup for presentation
to the Liverpool League in our name and pay £25
in addition, but that he had as arranged with the
Chairman agreed to pay £20, and this amount it was
resolved to accept. The Chairman reported that the
Cup supplied by Mr. Ramsbottom had been presented
to the Liverpool League and greatly admired.
It was resolved that the sum of £20 so received be
paid over to the National Footballers War Fund.
Entertainment It was resolved that the players be invited to a dinner
of Players and smoking concert on Wednesday the 4th prox. and
that the Secretary intimate to each player that he be
