Halsall Minutes The minutes of the last meeting and of the finance meeting were read and confirmed. The consideration of the motion to fill a vacancy on the Directorate was deferred until the next meeting. The Secretary read a decision of the League Management Committee re players expenses (a copy of which is attached hereto. The matches at Goodison Park and Plank Lane were reported. The Secretary reported that the gross receipts on Saturday last were £623.4.11. The payment of the Entertainments Tax thereon £141.19.3 and on the sale of Season Tickets s d 5 / 4., 1% for League Management expenses £4.12.2, 2½% for the F.A. Fund £11.10.5 and £88.18.9, 20% due to the visiting club were passed. The Secretary reported the receipt of telegram from J. Smith that he would be able to play on Saturday but requesting the suppression of his name from the papers in lieu of Thompson injured.
