That Mitchell sustained an injury to his eye
at Southport on the 8th inst. & was unable to
follow his employment during the week commencing
the 10th inst. but was sufficiently recovered to play
on the 15th inst. The Secretary was instructed to
pay him an average weeks pay & to make a
claim upon the Insurance Federation.
The Chairman (Mr. Clayton) & the Secretary were
deputed to meet a deputation from L'pool F.C.
to consider.

The Secretary read an application by the
Committee of British Gifts for Belgian Soldiers
for the use of our ground between Novr. 14 & 24
it being proposed to arrange a tour for Belgian
Army Football team with the object of raising funds
for the above cause. The Secretary was instructed
to reply granting the use of the ground on any week
day other than Saturday between those dates & if
desired to raised an XI to oppose them.
