Richardson The Secretary was instructed to make inquiries about
this Ayr United centre forward.
Financial The Chairman reported that at a Meeting of the
Assistance Clubs held at Manchester on Friday last, the
Scheme proposal by our Club, that each Club in the League
pay as a contribution into a fund for the assistance
of necessitous Clubs a percentage of the gross receipts
of each League match throughout the season, which
proposal was substituted for that of the League
Management Committee which was withdrawn, was
carried unanimously.
The following resolution to reduce the wages of
professional players on the lines of the proposed
scheme of the Management Committee, such reduction
to commence this week, was also carried unanimously.
The Secretary reported that the gross receipts of
our League matches to date were as follows:—
Sep. 12 Middlesbrough £337:9: 6

The Management Committee having at the
Meeting above mentioned intimated that some
assistance would be required immediately, it was
at the Meeting resolved that 2½% of the gross
receipts be immediately forwarded to the League
for that purpose. It was therefore resolved that
the Secretary send a cheque for £39:11:6 being
