[Emergency Meeting of Directors held at the
		Bradford Hotel, October 1st 1914]

Present W. R. Clayton Esq. (Chair)
		Messrs Baxter
			Halsall
			Kelly

The Directors having been supplied with a copy
of the circular from the Management Committee
of the League, and the Secretary having read same,
the several suggestions therein contained were
discussed at length and it was resolved.
That we could not agree to the suggestion contained
		in clause 7.
That whilst we would be prepared to favourably
support a scheme for the assistance of Clubs in
financial difficulties, we could not support any
scheme which would have a tendency to bring into
existence the pooling of gates, but that if it were
made in the nature of a donation it would have our
		support.
It was further felt that the proposals contained were
of such grave importance as to demand greater
consideration than could be given to them by
Tuesday next the date upon which a reply was
requested, that the matter should be discussed in
conference by the Clubs and the Secretary was
instructed to write the Secretary of the League
requesting that a meeting of the Clubs be called
for an early date so that the whole question
might be fully and freely debated.
It was further resolved that the consideration of the
proposed reduction in players salaries be deferred.
