272 That Liverpool F.C. had again been approached by the Councillor Walker Charity Cup Committee for the use of their ground and that they were willing to grant same with our approval. The Secretary was instructed to inform Liverpool F.C. that we did not approve; that that Committee had approached us and that Whilst we were agreeable to grant the use of our ground with Liverpool's approval in consequence with the arrangement with the Liverpool Club we had declined and would expect Liverpool also to decline under the circumstances. That notwithstanding his intimation to Nuttall that he would be required here on Saturday last, Nuttall accompanied the Stockport team to Bolton. The Secretary was instructed to withhold the training monies otherwise payable to Nuttall for last week's training and to discontinue any further payment to him until further notice.
