[Meeting of Directors held at the Bradford Hotel
February 23rd 1916]

Minutes The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.
The game v Stockport County was reported.
The Secretary reported that he had obtained the consent
of the Villa F. C. to approach Hampton with a view to
obtaining his assistance for Saturday next. His action
was confirmed and he was instructed to visit Birmingham
tomorrow to obtain Hampton's services if possible.
Maconnachie The Secretary reported that he had requested Maconnachie
and others on Thursday last to train on the practice
ground instead of on the playing pitch owing to the
depleted staff, and the Maconnachie had returned to the
dressing room and declined to train and expressed his
intention not to play in last Saturday's match. That
having reported the matter to the Chairman, he, on the
Chairman's instructions, invited Maconnachie to attend the
meeting today. That he had received a message from
Mrs. Maconnachie that her husband had returned home
last evening very unwell and would be confined to the
house for a few days and requested that any communication
be made to him in writing.
The Secretary also reported that he had paid Maconnachie.
