258 [Meeting of Directors held at the Bradford Hotel, January 25th 1916] Present W. R. Clayton Esq. (Chair) Messrs J. C. Baxter J. Davies J. G. Davies H. Halsall B. Kelly Minutes The Minutes of the last Meeting were read and confirmed. National and The Secretary reported a communication from Liverpool F. C. Local (per Mr. McKenna) that that Club had under consideration Institutions the allocation of monies received from the League and he made a suggestion on behalf of Liverpool F. C. that the two Clubs should make a joint presentation of a Motor Ambulance to the Red Cross Fund. That the proposed cost thereof would be about £600 and that such cost could be defrayed out of the monies already received and to be received by each Club from the League. After discussion Dr. Baxter proposed and Mr. Kelly seconded that the suggestion made by Liverpool F. C. be adopted. The Chairman proposed as an amendment that a Bed be founded at the Stanley Hospital at a cost of £1000 and the amendment was seconded by Mr. J. G. Davies. After discussion on the merits of the respective suggestions the matter was put to the vote when the amendment was carried and on being put as a substantive resolution it was unanimously resolved that a Bed be endowed at the Stanley Hospital to be known as "The Everton "Football Club Bed".
