249 [Meeting of Directors held at the Bradford Hotel January 5th 1916.] Present All the Directors except Messrs Coffey & Green. Minutes The minutes of the last two meetings were read and confirmed. The Secretary reported that the match at Oldham on Saturday last was abandoned after 45 minutes play owing to the storm. That having received the offer (through Mr. McKenna of Liverpool) of the services of Joseph Smith and Robert McNeal of West Bromwich Albion he had, after consultation with the Chairman, seen these players at Shotton and had offered them a game, which offer was readily accepted.
