[Meeting of Directors held at the Bradford
Hotel, August 31st 1915]
Present All the Directors except Mr. Green.
Minutes The Minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.
Exchange The Secretary reported that the Exchange Telegraph Co.
Telegraph Co. had applied for permission to continue the privileges
heretofore granted them. That such concessions had
been renewed on condition that we were supplied
gratis with the half time and full time results for
exhibition on our results board. That this offer had
been declined and that their Representative Mr. Gibb
had interviewed him on the matter. That the Secretary
had informed them that we could not deviate from
the terms proposed and he (Mr. Gibb) promised to communicate
with his principals after which he would further discuss
the matter.
The Secretary submitted the skeleton of the proposed
new Programme.
The question of the payment of players expenses was
considered and the Secretary was empowered to defray
such reasonable expenses as were actually incurred by
the players or rendered necessary owing to the hours
or nature of the player's employment.
The Secretary reported that the practice game receipts
amounted to £132.10.2 and whilst it was decided
that the proceeds should be distributed between the
Hospital Saturday Fund, the Stanley Hospital and the
Bootle Borough Hospital, the apportionment thereof was
